Dr. M. Tariq Khan is working as a Consultant Eye Surgeon at Farooq Hospital Iqbal Town Branch Lahore.

• Supervisor and trainer for FCPS and Second Fellowship in Vitreoretinal and examiner for FCPS examination.
• Actively involved in the ongoing research work at LRBT Hospital and Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental College

• Member of American Academy of Ophthalmology since 2013
• Member of APAO since 2009

Experience:

• Worked in LRBT Hospital for 16 years. Now working as Professor and head of vitreoretinal department, Akhtar Saeed Medical & Dental College, Lahore
• Involved in private practice at Farooq Hospital Allama Iqbal Town affiliated to Akhtar Saeed Medical and Dental college; since 1994.
• Well trained anterior segment surgeries including Phaco for cataract surgery, glaucoma, and squint surgery.
• 30 years of experience of retinal diseases and retinal surgery.

Awards & Medals:

• Awarded Latif Chaudary Gold medal in Vitreoretinal in 2016.
• Awarded DISTINGUISHED SERVICES AWARD by Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO 2016) and have more than 100 presentations and 21 papers published in national and international journals to my credit.
• Awarded SAARC DISTINGUISHED SERVICES AWARD at SAARC ophthalmic conference 2018 at Kathmandu Nepal.
• Awarded Ophthalmological society of Pakistan Presidential Gold Medal (DIL MUHAMMAD MIRZA award) in innovated ophthalmology Quetta October 2019
• Twenty-seven publication in National and International journals
• Regularly attending national and international conferences
