Professor Dr. Asim Mumtaz

About Me

Professor Dr. Asim Mumtaz graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College in 1983. He did M.Phil Chemical Pathology from Postgraduate Medical Institute Lahore. He has done a certificate in Medical Teaching (CMT) from the University of Health Sciences Lahore. He is a fellow of the College of Pathologists Pakistan.

He has teaching experience of 31 years in Pathology. Dr. Asim Mumtaz has worked at King Edward Medical College for 11 years. Dr.Asim Mumtaz has worked as Assistant Professor Chemical Pathology for five years at Children Hospital & Institute of Child Health, Lahore. He has served for seven years as Associate Professor of Chemical Pathology and Head of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Health Sciences Lahore.

He has worked as Head of Pathology Department at the Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences for six years and at Central Park Medical College for five years. He has participated in more than 60 conferences and seminars at the national & international levels.

Also, he has many contributions in establishing the Pakistan Society of Chemical Pathology and worked as General Secretary for four years. He has also been working as President Pakistan Society of Chemical Pathology.

He has published 49 original research papers in national & International journals. He has vast experience in establishing & managing the Pathology Laboratory.
